Travelling from the North

Take the M6 exit Junction 40 onto the A66 towards Keswick for about 12 miles. Turn left onto B5322 (Station Road). After around 4 miles turn left at the junction onto the A591 and continue South into Ambleside.

​Travelling from the South

Take the M6 exit Junction 36 onto the A590 towards Kendal. Around 16 miles join the A591 towards Windermere. Stay on the A591 passed Windermere onto Ambleside.
